Receiver 30 kHz à 56 MHz CW, AM, SSB, FM
155 x 52 x 218 mm, 1,9 kg
To operate an amateur radio station at home, the majority of transceivers with a standard output power of 100 W without an integrated power supply are designed for direct connection to an external stabilized power supply delivering a low voltage which is generally 13.8V (DC).
If you listen only you need only 2.0A ( 2 ampéres )
The Yaesu FT-891 is a very compact mobile and portable transceiver for all shortwave and 6m bands. The receiver is designed as a triple super (FM: double super) and thus allows very good values regarding sensitivity and behavior of large signals. A 3 kHz roof filter is fitted as standard and ensures good proximity selection. With the TCXO, which is also factory-fitted, the transceiver achieves a frequency stability of ±0.5 ppm.
In the IF, the FT-891 is equipped with a powerful 32-bit signal processor (DSP). This makes it unnecessary to purchase expensive crystal filters; Almost all filter widths can be adjusted depending on the operating mode. Additionally, this DSP also provides effective noise and notch reduction functions (automatic and manual). As with the larger Yaesu transceivers, a "Contour" and an "Audio Peak Filter" (APF) are offered, which significantly improve intelligibility in many cases.
A CAT interface for controlling the transceiver is provided through the USB socket. For digital modes, the usual eight-pin mini DIN "RTTY/DATA" socket and an external interface are used. In addition, there is the usual Yaesu tuner/linear socket, so existing accessories can also be used with the FT-891. The ATAS-120A mobile antenna can also be used with the transceiver. The antenna connection is made via an SO-239 socket; For convenient adaptation with other antennas, the new FC-50 automatic coupler is offered. It is also possible to use weatherproof FC-40 for the end wires. Other connections are available for REM/ALC, a Morse key and an external speaker.
This TX RX YAESU is a little expensive but very good quality made in JAPAN. it will not be hard to sale on second hand market if you want to buy another TX or RX.
